Gottfried Helnwein Image 1, 2, and 3 Response

Image 1
The image is a painting that's probably on a billboard depicting a close-up of a feminine face so most likely a female with right side view and tiny man climbing up her face. That tiny man is probably climbing to fix something on top of her head or reaching out to a building there. I think this is both an artistic and documentary image. I do think that the image is Photoshopped. What I think the meaning, intent, and message is to be looking at finer and hidden details since you'll probably find more there. Difference of scale between man and girls's face add to my interpretation of image by putting emphasis on the size ratio.
Image 2 and 3
The change in viewpoint changes my interpretation of image by displaying actuality of what's going on and where it's at. The image was actually that of a girl with all of the face being shown and hung-up on a poor, unclean building with traces of grafitti and dirt. Her expression is that of being solemn with what could interpret s slight traces of fear, calmness, and sadness. Size affects the meaning by showing the fullness of her expression. I think of the image as spliced together. The location of it is urban. Given that, who will see it and the intended audience will most likely be poor people. The mood and also expression is clearly taken up by mostly melancholy. I think the title "The Last Girl" is the lat of girls at a poor orphanage or something in similarity.
